Esthetic Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Mechanic wrote the book on esthetic restorative dentistry. He is a trendsetter and is world regarded as a pioneer in dental esthetics. In 1983, using a newly invented technology called Myron’s Chameleon Veneers, he reinvented the smile of a young Montreal actress; attracting international interest, as it was one of the first documented uses of porcelain laminates. Subsequently, Dr. Mechanic has restored hundreds of smiles, written texts, developed materials, and has taught dentists worldwide, the art of cosmetic dentistry.

A great smile, is an important part of the overall impression a person makes to the world. An appealing smile increases ones appearance, confidence, and self esteem. A poor smile, can hurt your career and love life. You want your smile to do you justice! Bad teeth send the wrong message to business and social partners.

Many people want to change their smiles! Discolored, crooked, gapped, cracked, or worn down teeth, can be transformed to create a vibrant more youthful look.

Every smile transformation begins with photographs, to show patients how they would benefit from esthetic dentistry. Dr Mechanic and his team, then consult with each patient, to explain the various alternatives to achieve the desired result. Photos establish communication between the patient and doctor in a way that no other approach can match!

“What makes our approach unique, is its ability to explain without saying words,” says Dr. Mechanic. “It takes a lot of chance out of cosmetic dental change – I want my patients to have an idea of the restorative possibilities and visualize their ‘new look’ before the work is actually done. They can give me their input and help with their smile design. This takes most of the mystery and apprehension out of the procedure.”
